I taught the week-long workshop Acid e-flux, during which a group of students investigated why so much of art writing seem like word vomit. Where aporia, radically, space, proposition, biopolitical, tension, transversal, and autonomy are to be interrogated, questioned, encoded, transformed, subverted, and displaced.
What language do we speak and to whom are we comprehensible? How does the language that we speak gatekeep the world we are a part of – and formalise who can be a part of this world? In this workshop, we will be writing a satirical take on three types of common artspeak genres: the psychoanalysis (artist statement), the confessional (art CV), and judgment (exhibition review).
